I'm going to MONTREUX!

Wow, I can't believe it!
In the summer holidays I'm going to Switzerland for 2 weeks and we're going to stay in Montreux for a while.
I will finally get to see the Freddie statue!
Unfortunetly we can't go the Memorial Weekend because that's during term time. I'll just have to go a different year.
But I have a feeling that 2010 is going to be a good year-in February I'm going to see WWRY in London and then later this year I'm going to see One Night Of Queen AGAIN!
I think 2010's going to be like a repeat of the highlights of last year but without all the bad bits inbetween!

By the way, I've just discovered this totally awesome blog by one of my friends. It's nothing to do with Queen but it's pretty rocking!

Have a good 2010

Queen are back in the charts!

FINALLY!
Queen are back in the charts!
Absolute Greatest is at number 7 this week and last week was at number 4!
How fantastic is that?!
Also, Sky Arts 1 has loads of Queen stuff on this week: Tribute Concert, Queen & Paul Rodgers, Montreal ...
AND Brian May is on the Alan Titchmarch show tomorrow (the 10th) - ITV1 3pm-4pm.
AND the Muppets version of Bohemian Rhapsody is set to be a contender for christmas number 1!
Sounds like December's gonna be good!

Back to the Blog

Hi!
Sorry I haven't written for ages! I've been SO busy!
I've just had exams so I've had loads of revision to do, but now they're over so I can go back to blogging.(Even though no one actually reads this stupid blog anyway!)
And for once I've actually got something rather amazing to say.
I'VE MET BRIAN MAY!
On Thursday the 19th, I went to Bradford to see his and Elena Vidal's talk on stereoscopic photography.(You know, they wrote that book...A Village Lost And Found)
And afterwards there was a book signing so I got my copy signed! And I got my photo taken with them! OMG!
It was brilliant!
Other than that, I don't really have much to say.
EXCEPT...
On Tuesday the 24th of November a Freddie Mercury Memorial is going to be opened in Feltham! How cool?!
Unfortunately, I can't go to see it because I live in the north. Shame-why is there barely anything interesting to do up here?!
Anyway, I'll probably write again soon
Lots of love,

Happy Birthday Freddie!

Happy Birthday to the late, great Freddie Mercury!
To celebrate what would have been his 63rd birthday, I've decided to make a list of his Top Ten Quotes! Enjoy!

1) 'I always knew I was a star and now the rest of the world seems to agree with me.'

2) 'I don't like the way my teeth protrude. Other than that I'm perfect.'

3) 'If I didn't do this, I just wouldn't have anything to do...I can't cook and I'd be a terrible housewife.'

4) 'The reason we're successful, darling? my overall charisma, of course.'

5) 'What will I be doing in twenty years time? I'll be dead, darling! Are you crazy?

6) 'I'm as gay as a daffodil, darling'

7) 'About ten years ago, I knew three chords on the guitar. Now, in 1982, I know three chords on the guitar.'

8) 'I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear.'

9) 'I have fun with my clothes onstage; it's not a concert you're seeing, it's a fashion show.'

10) 'I dress to kill, but tastefully.'

Tonight I will be drinking the Moet et Chandon that I have been keeping in a pretty cabinet for quite some time, waiting for a reason to open it!

Queen on TV

Hi
Just to let everyone know,
on the 25th of August, on Rockworld (sky 378), there is a repeat of Rick Wakeman interviewing Brian May - it's called Face To Face.
Also, on the 4th of September, on Sky Arts 1, there is the UK premiere of Queen + Paul Rodgers-Let The Cosmos Rock.
Just found out about these from various Queen sites and thought I'd let you know!
Bye,

Made In Heaven-HIDDEN TRACKS!

WOW!
I bought the Made In Heaven album a few weeks ago but only found out about the UNTITLED HIDDEN TRACKS the other day-by accident!
Which was strange because I'd already listened to Made In Heaven without noticing the hidden tracks at all!
I don't know how I managed to not listen to them in the first place but I listened to the CD again and heard the hidden tracks!
They're absolutely FANTASTIC! One of them was only 4 seconds long and was just Freddie going "yeah!"
The other one was 22 minutes long and was brilliant!
Might write soon,
QotB
